Royal Mail business cards
Brief: Royal Mail created a new division to sell a complete direct mail service. Their specific problem was that their sales consultants lacked confidence in selling the new service.
Insight: We knew that People Buy People and that if we created business cards that allowed them talk about themselves when they met new customers, they'd feel more confident in selling the new service.
We interviewed all the consultants individually and asked them a simple question, "What brings you joy and defines you as a person?"
Together, we identified a signifying object that represented their interest – their Favourite Object.
We then identified a material that represented that object
We then made each consultant's cards from the individual material that referenced their favourite object.
All the cards tell a very personal and intimate story about the individuals.
